An opening note on why Opportune is publishing — and what to expect from the three streams: opinion, deep dives, and learning.
We spend our days inside production AI systems — debugging retrieval drift, sitting in incident bridges, untangling cost spikes, watching agents fail in ways nobody’s runbook predicted. We’re starting this blog because most of what we learn doesn’t fit on a sales deck.
Three streams
Opinion. Calls we believe in, and where we disagree with the room. Short, direct, occasionally wrong.
Deep dives. Long-form lookups into specific systems, incidents, and architectures. The kind of writing we wish existed when we were first making the decisions.
Learning. How a thing actually works — and how to use it. Less narrative, more mechanism.
